I'm an engineering leader with over 15 years of experience building software, products, and engineering teams.
I currently lead Forward Deployed Engineering globally at Parloa, working at the intersection of product engineering, solution architecture, and customer delivery.
My background spans hands-on software engineering, architecture, technical strategy, and engineering leadership across startups, consultancies, and large enterprises. Experience
- Global Director of Forward Deployed Engineering
- Lead Forward Deployed Engineering globally, covering product engineering, integrations, infrastructure/DevOps, and VoIP/telephony for complex enterprise deployments.
- Work closely with Product and customers to bridge product gaps, prototype upcoming capabilities with design partners, and feed what we learn in the field back into the core product.
- Build and scale the FDE organisation, including hiring, team structure, engineering practices, capacity, and technical delivery.
- Director of Software & Cloud Engineering
- Joined as a Senior Engineer and was promoted three times to Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer, and ultimately Director of Engineering, taking on increasing responsibility for technical strategy, delivery, and people leadership.
- Led end-to-end technology and product delivery for clients across industries and countries, often starting as the initial architect and growing teams and systems from early prototypes through production.
- Worked with clients on architecture, engineering principles, technology strategy, and modernisation as part of larger digital transformations.
- User Interface Developer
- Worked on a variety of microsites for international clients using a custom jQuery application framework focused on web animations and single-page application design.
- Started a series of "brown bag" sessions around new ECMAScript language features and their practical application in our development practices.
- Paired with product owners and designers on a regular basis to quickly ideate on UX/UI experiences and ensure timely delivery.
